Overview
Kuwait City is a thriving modern city with
approximately 2.8 million inhabitants. It is located on Kuwait’s Persian Gulf
coast and features a variety of spectacular landmarks, fascinating museums and
tourist attractions. Perhaps the most recognizable buildings in Kuwait are the
eponymous towers, which were constructed in 1979. The Grand Mosque is also a
noted landmark, while the Aqua Park is a popular way to escape the heat for an
afternoon of family fun on the many slides. Kuwait is also home to a number of
upscale shopping malls.
