Climate
Cagayan de Oro has a tropical climate along
with the rest of the Philippines. As a result, there is not much of a
difference in temperatures from month to month. The average afternoon
high for the entire year is 28 degrees Celsius with very little
variation. The highest recorded temperature ever in the city is 39
degrees which occurred in 1998. The city of Cagayan de Oro also receives
an even amount of rain throughout the course of the year. July is the
wettest month and April is the driest month. Usually, the wet season
begins in June and runs through November. The dry season begins in
December and will last until the end of May.
