Auckland is located towards the north of
New Zealand’s North Island and is the country’s largest city. It is rated as
one of the most "liveable” cities in the world and has a cosmopolitan
population with a mix of European, Asian and Polynesian backgrounds. The city
is home to a wide range of interesting landmarks and attractions, including the
famous Sky Tower, Aotea Square and the Auckland War Memorial Museum. The Sky
Tower is notable for being the tallest free-standing structure in the Southern
Hemisphere.
