The Eden Project is a horticultural
attraction that includes the world's largest greenhouse. Located in a reclaimed
Kaolinite pit, the complex is dominated by two areas with two adjoining domes
that house plant species from all over the world. Each area mimics a natural
biome. The first dome is tropical, with bananas, coffee, bamboo and many other
tropical plants and trees. The second is Mediterranean with olives, grapes and
the like, while the outdoor open-air biome represents the temperate regions of
the world.
