The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is
all about boats and their place in people’s lives. Much of the Cornish Maritime
Collection came from the former Cornwall Maritime Museum in Falmouth. It
contains artifacts, pictures, models and archives of the history of Cornwall,
the sea, and particularly, Falmouth. There is also the National Small Boat
Collection, now housed here, which was originally developed by the National
Maritime Museum at Greenwich and represents boats from the UK and all over the
world.
