Athens is the capital and largest city in Greece, dominating the Attica periphery.  Its recorded history goes back about 3,400 years making it one of the world’s oldest cities. The heritage of Athens’ classical era is still very evident in the city with ancient monuments, and archaeology finds, museums and works of ancient art. Athens is also a city of today with wonderful restaurants, cafes, great shops and places to meet and socialize but most of all it is a city where round every corner you find something of interest.
