The nation’s capital, and one of the
biggest, most populated cities on the planet, Mexico City is found in the heart
of the country. The city is decentralized, which means that important landmarks
and skyscrapers are located at various points across the cityscape, in any of
the 16 different "deligaciones” or boroughs. Mexico City has more museums
than any other city on earth, with themes ranging from anthropology to history.
The city is also noted for its plazas and green spaces, with the famous the
Pre-Columbian gardens at Xochimilco a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
